Remember When??????

Remember When: I posted our "RIBBON TREE" back 09/23/2006.....................When Eric,Matt and Steve were coming home from Iraq............WELLLLLLLLLL

this is that tree today 09/17/2007. A big "GUST" wind at 10:00 a.m. & about 35 miles an hour. A neighbor heard a big CRACKING sound and then a thud that shook the neighborhood.( Now remember just a year ago 09/29/2006 a transformer blew and the house next to us caught Fire) Everyone came out to see what it was..........That is except Mike,he slept right through it.

Just the other day we were out back with the neighbors and Mike was saying how he hated this tree. So I told him today it's his fault the tree fell.....God hears all and didn't like what he said.....right.

I loved this tree.

There was a knot in the side that looked like a heart
If you look at this pic you can see it. It is what I saw out
my kitchen window.

GOOD BYE old tree. You'll be missed..
Wonder what next Sept. will bring????

That's awful! I'm sad too. But glad it wasn't closer to your house.

Wow, I'm glad that old tree didn't hit your house, car, or you! I bet you were sad to see it go. We have trees that we have planted and have watched grow. There is one tree in the back yard that our old dog chewed in half before we even got it planted! The tree is huge now! It would be sad if it blew over :(

Good bye old friend. I am sorry that you lost your tree... At least there wasn't any damage.

That is terrible! I'm glad nobody was hurt. At least it did it's job (the ribbons) before biting the dust!
